If you're anything like me, then you want to make money while some other shleb does all the hard work while you be lounging in Saratoga with the honies, sipping Kristal while lighting a Cuban cigar with a $100 bill. Yuh-huh.
Sometimes it seems like every punk with a copy of FrontPage and too much time on their hands wants to be an internet tipster. Dicey stats, stetson-wearing bookmakers and Alice-in-Wonderland betting records are just a few of your worries should you choose to follow any of these.
You will hear a lot about the importance of good analysis where tipsters are discussed. Personally, I think the idea of good analysis is overrated. Much of what passes for good analysis on tipster sites is actually terribly written drivel from a deluded gasbag far too fond of his own virtual voice. It's a dumping ground for fatuous truisms and irrelevant biography.
"Much of what passes for good analysis on tipster sites is actually terribly written drivel from a deluded gasbag far too fond of his own virtual voice."
It's not unusual to hear something along lines of "well, Sanchez and Lopez are the best of friends off court but there will be no quarter asked for today AND NONE GIVEN."
Like anybody gives a fig pudding about Sanchez and Lopez's off-court activities. You want to hear "this is how I think it's going to be, this is why, I'm outta here, PEACE" (words to that effect).
And do you really want to hear forensic dissection of Benfica's defensive system from somebody on a 49 game losing streak? Consistently good, responsible tipping is what counts. You can expect many of the good ones to go up subscription - this year already we have seen the excellent Bet Space, TennisTipsters and Pibet all take the Yankee dollar.
And good luck to them - hardest game in the world and all that but you that's not what you want to hear. You want to hear about the services that will cost you nada, zippo, zilch. So here they are.
Now that Tennis Tipsters has gone subscription Tennis Profit is the premier free tennis tipping site on the net. Tennis Profit has 24.4% yield over 629 bets - a stellar performance by anyone's standards.
Even the standards of the Bookie Basher. The usually untouchable Mr Basher has had a stinking start to 2005 (minus 41.65 points at the time of writing) but don't let that put you off. Form is temporary but class is permanent and anybody who was clocking up 16% yield just shy of 1000 bets plainly has the knack of getting a consistent edge over the bookmakers.

Some punters like to concentrate on odds on shots - they should investigate Oddser a Danish site that describes itself as "the base of reference for a private group of sportsinvestors with the defined purpose, goal and aim of producing a commune, stabile and maximized profit through an extreme hitrate performance"
That may sound quite Bond villainy and their staking plan of 20% seems towards the kamikaze end of the scale but you can't argue with their picks - this year landing 13 out of 16 bets at average odds of 1.63.
And if you like add a little Asian flavour to your punting you could do a lot worse than follow the top tipsters at the hugely popular Asian Bookie competition where big hitters slug it out for the $1000 worth of prizes.
Retaining the Asian theme, I turn to the engagingly bonkers Mr Tzo - an exhaustingly busy Asian Handicap tipster who keeps his followers occupied with an RSI-inducing schedule of bets. His determination to place up to 170 bets per month has recently affected his impressive long-term record with an inevitable dip in form as his focus is diluted over a wide spread of bets.
Nonetheless he remains worth checking out - if only for his impressive philosophical pieces (he is Greek after all) one of which I shall leave you with. I like to think of this as a mission statement for all tipster services. So, until next time...
MrTzo is NOT A MAGICIAN...
MrTzo is HUMAN LIKE ALL...
From this net corner we will try to make profit through betting. And I say we will try cause I dont have a sense that I am alone. I am part of you, one of you, and my target are only the bookies. I try to make profit systematically, with no big word in success and not pessimistic attitude in bad days. Both of these days , are part of our job. And our job is to make profit.
I think that Asian Handicap betting methods is the most profitable for me. Not big profit as other betting tactics, (i.e. like betting systems with draw for example), but profit. And in betting world, if you DON'T LOSE IS GOOD, but IF YOU WIN even and a cents is PERFECT.
From me, not huge promises. I dont make you rich from the beginning. But Ill try to give my best at the end of the season to have profit.
Everything is possible nothing is impossible and for this reason always you must remember to yourself before betting that ...
… Even if you are assured always doubt about
Amen to that. Now where did I put that scuba helmet?
